Alright so this one bothers me more than any other mandela effect esque incident in my life, mainly because I explicitly remember it existing. Also I would like to ask before continuing if music counts, because if not I may need to move my story somewhere else.

Alright, 2ish years ago I was big in the EDM scene of music, (I usually fluctuate between genre annually). So I was really into the mainstream stuff of like Flux Pavilion and getting into artists like Tycho and slowly into more indie artists on the small EDM channels such as mrsuicidesheep. However, there was one song I was in LOVE with. Bathroom jam. Work out jam. Got home from the week jam. Zedd - Clarity. But this is where shit hits the fan.

During this stage I listened to EDM on youtube because this is where you find more and more small yet good artists on the channels like mrsuicidesheep. So I listened to Zedd - Clarity from a VEVO video. I remember listening to the same video for about 2 months and I loosely recall the video involving a girl in the desert. One day the video is deleted on YouTube and I am in absolute despair. My friend and I loved the song and had yet to discover Spotify. We looked for the song from a different channel, but the version just sounded different. We were sad our original version had vanished.

2 weeks later another Zedd - Clarity is uploaded to YouTube. We are in pure excitement yet as we listen to the song... it is also different. A few of the remarkably different features is first, after the chorus there is a guy going like "haaaaaaaaayyyy aaayyyy aaaayy ay" or whatever the fuck that ancient chanting is. That also remains persistent in the rest of the song. A few background noises are different which are also hard to describe because it's EDM music.

Are my friend and I crazy and during the two weeks we forgot the way the song sounded? My other friends can't recall the way it originally sounded nor could care enough. I think VEVO is fucking with me for ad block.
