Today was the day, I came into work and my boss started in on me for the third week in a row. I work in a mid sized company in their corporate office and it is a very nice and respectful environment. The past few weeks on Monday mornings my boss has come into my office "fck that and this" and "your work is sht" and on and on. He wouldn't speak to his boss this way and he doesn't speak to other managers this way. I've had it and emailed HR. I understand being frustrated and wanting to be direct but this is over the line. Previous rants included topics of how unprofessional it was that he could see my 4 year old on screen of an improtu zoom call when I was working from home and another was how disgusting it was that I chewed my nails. I feel good that at least I reached out to HR and they know now but also a little scared because of retaliation of if this blows back on me. Wish me luck.
Update: I've heard back from HR and they've told me that I have PTO available if I need to take time off for personal reasons and that I should talk to my manager's boss about my issues with my manager's interactions with me. 😔 And now I'm worried that they've talked with my manager and how fun life is going to be now.
