The gods and other characters mentioning dumping the coin when your luck goes south or when you have a change of luck.
This becomes central to Paran’s and Crokus’s plot.
My question is twofold when exactly did their lucks go south, and how do we know it? it seems to me both got rid of their items when they were still fairly lucky.
Or did they get rid of their items before their lucks went south as if they had received bad luck they would probably be dead.
And what exactly was Oponn trying to accomplish and will this be looked at further in the series or will I always be made to wonder what Oponns goal was
