Did anyone else guess who The Eel was before the reveal?

I guessed it long ago during one of Kruppe’s POVs where he decided that saying the smallest child ever wasn’t prudent, and that hyperbole was not good to use.
This was the first clue I noticed and cemented my belief and more and more clues popped up after. Was there any that I missed prior.
I just got to the point where Merillio had a guess so I haven’t finished the book yet but that last bit of foreshadowing was enough for me to be positive.
