The Reason Most of Us Engage in Daydreaming

Post Body

I feel like most of us are engaging (with choice or mostly without choice) in daydreams because we unconsciously want to impress other people.

I don't know about you, but most of my daydreams involve around impressing other people/appearing cool or important.

And most of this stems from being emotionally neglected as a child and being lonely. I didn't have anything to do, so I daydreamed to keep myself entertained and safe, since my household & my physical reality wasn't much of a safe space.

How many of you can relate? Is there a need underneath to impress people/win them over? Due to being emotionally neglected as children?
