I’m thinking about upgrading some tools (circular saw) and need an orbital sander and compact router (among som other future items).

I’m not a tradesman - only a DIY homeowner who is planning to do some woodworking projects and likes having the latest and greatest (but quality matters) tools.

I know that the LXT is enough - yet I can’t help but fawn over the XGT line.

Is there anything the LXT line won’t handle that a typical homeowner type would throw at it?

I have a drill/driver set from pre LXT (or at least they don’t say LXT and batteries don’t fit the newer tools). Love my Makita and want more
