Just thinking now that whatever happens next, if a conspiracy can be proven, or if there's a new trial and Avery is cleared, this is still going to be a local case. Local judges, local courts. It likely isn't going to be a federal court that ends this show.

The implication of this is that if MCSD is corrupt to its roots, are we to let ourselves believe that they will not be up to dirty tricks in response to a - somewhat unlikely - court decision that makes MCSD look bad or clears Steven? I.e if it's some sort of quasi-Masonic weird cabal of middle aged white rural Wisconsin men that's behind the Halbach murder/Avery frame-up (not saying same party is responsible for both, but in quiet corners of the world this is always how power works - the local brotherhood), don't expect that cabal to start not looking out for its own...
