I've come off a 3 year low-buy, followed by a declutter.

The main reason that I stopped the low-buy was because I love wearing eye shadow and I put it on even when I'm not going out of the house, but most of my products were out of date, things I'd bought as a makeup noob that I now realize were never flattering, and shades that clash with my wardrobe. I wanted to be able to wear makeup that I like instead of grinding through almost-expired hate pans. I am continuing to only do replacements on other products.

I bought two small eye palettes that complement my complexion and I've been looking for a third that will have a few specific shades (especially shimmer teal or emerald). I prefer a small palette to just getting the teal in a pan because I absolutely will use up extra transition shades. I've found two good candidates which aren't dupes for one another - they have different pros and cons. The problem is that after this, I'm committing to return to low-buy and specifically to not buying anymore eye shadow for at least one year, and fear of making a bad decision on my "last palette" is weighing on me.

(FWIW, it's not easy for me to get to post office to return things right now.)

This is taking up way more mental space than it should.
