Here I am. I have made Platinum at Ulta for the first time ever.
I used to steal tons of makeup from Kroger stores and Walmart. It was easy. Eventually I got caught stealing at a SiJCP. Don't steal at a mall, I mean don't steal but if you must for some reason not at the mall lol.
Now I make good money and am about to go back to school for a degree in a field I am excited to be a part of. Over 6 years has passed since I was a makeup thief. I'm almost 30 years old.
And I have probably spent a solid $2k in makeup within the past year. Maybe even more, like $2500 in the past 2 years.
For makeup I never wear.
This is me, officially checking in to a no-buy. My conditions;
- I can replace care products I use regularly and enjoy. I can replace them with the same or new products to try, but I have to completely use the next product before I repurchase again.
If I am unhappy with how a product performs I can return/exchange it if possible otherwise I will use it to completion and put it on a Do Not Purchase list.
I cannot purchase any eye shadow, lipstick (including liquid formulas), eye liner, blush or bronzer, concealer, contour, or lip liner. -I have multiples of all of these and generic colors that go with any shade as well as clear formulas of lip liners so I don't need to purchase matching colors.
I will take inventory of my makeup including all deluxe and foil samples, cleansing products, hair products and perfumes as well.
I can collect freebies for my birthday and am allowed to get GWP if it falls under a product I am replacing. I take the full brunt of the risk involved in purchasing unknown products and will use them to completion if I feel so compelled to get a freebie.
