When in doubt: Go home and swatch your collection!

So I made the mistake of going in to Sephora today, "just to browse." Obviously that was a big mistake. I was perusing the sales rack and being tempted by clearance items, but I've realized that I tend to be attracted to the same colors over and over again. I picked up a nail polish color, swatched it, and discovered it was almost identical to the polish I was already wearing. Then I swatched some KVD Lolita 1 and 2, and realized they looked familiar as well. Went home and swatched some lipsticks I already owned right next to them, and realized I already have colors very similar to those 2 as well. Same thing with a Melted metallic shade that I was very tempted to walk out of the store with, I have an exact dupe at home that I bought for half the price. So I guess I learned that I need to just be happy with what I have. I think my collection is at a pretty good size right now, and I need to focus on actually using up what I have instead of buying more things. I have been participating in a challenge, in an effort to use up some products that I've had sitting around for a while, this was just a good reminder that I don't need more things just for the sake of buying new things. And I walked out of Sephora without buying anything, so Success!
