I have been on and off on the makeup rehab journey for about 3 years now. I have done periods of no-buys, low -buys, fallen off the rails and gotten back on the wagon way too many times to count. With all of this, I took my makeup inventory yesterday and realised the value of my collection today at MSP is over 3800 USD.

To understand how effective makeuprehab has been for me, I went through three of my fav creators’ favourites whose suggestions I always tend to buy. I also looked through my old photos where I had pictures of makeup and palettes saved. If I had bought everything , without being aware of some of the techniques we talk about here and being somewhat conscious of my spending, my fantasy makeup inventory would be clocking 1000 products at a MSP of 24000 USD.

24k in makeup. That’s a good car or college money. That’s an emergency fund. That’s… 7-9 months of rent and utility.

Thank god for this community and keeping me aware to the fact otherwise I would have sunk that astronomical amount into colour powder and creams.
