Hi all! This year for Christmas two of my nieces have asked for make up/beauty type stuff and their mom wondered if I could help them out as she isn't very into make up and newer trends and has no idea where to start for them!
I was super excited because I love make up/hair/beauty stuff! So the girls are 12 and 14 and neither have any make up. Both have amazing skin and it's super rare that they even have a blemish (I know, so jealous!) I'd love some tips on what I should get for them as a starter set to get them set up for learning to have fun with make up but also using it as a means to enhance their natural beauty. We are pretty strict as far as we try and have our kids (and nieces and nephews) dress and act their ages and we focus on inner beauty and modesty quite a bit. I'd love recommendations on some good, basic brush sets and any other items you think would be good for young ladies just starting out!
I plan on having them both over for a fun girls sleep over night where we'll do manis and pedis, have girl talk and I'll teach them the basics (including skin care!) I have 3 girls of my own who will be joining but they're little so when we play make up it's just for fun and dress up kinda thing but I figure this will be good practice for when my girls hit that age too! I don't want to get them junk products but also don't want to break the bank since I know it's not something they'll even be wearing every day! TIA for ideas!
