I have been watching this show since it began and I love it! Many of the items that she tests are from China or Japan, but they are easily gotten online. Many common drugstore products make their way on here as well. It's a whole series with tons of stuff!

She does get paid, she is a kind of celebrity in Singapore (her, Xiaxue, XhuXhu and a few others), but she loves to do this and will even recommend a product that is not paying her company. I don't think the product companies pay them, only like the local salons and boutiques do.
According to her old blog, she was so excited that the network was going to pay her for something she had a passion for anyway.
I also like that she will honestly go "WTF is this crap?" on a really shitty item.
