Favorite empty palette?

Looking to start collecting individual eyeshadows in a palette or two, I need to revamp my collection (it's pitifully small after destashing really old stuff!).
Looking for recommendations for what empty palette to get, or how you feel about knock-off cheap types of makeup palettes for shadow insertion? (Ebay zpalettes, Wish/Home/Cute, AliExpress, etc?)
