I have seen this question in another post before, but no one was able to solve the mystery.
So what happens is this: when I am applying foundation and concealer, it goes on evenly, smoothly and easily everywhere else except between my eyebrows. In that one specific area, it ends up being sparse, patchy, and uneven. You can see obvious areas where the makeup has separated and won't cover. It's almost like the makeup won't adhere to my skin. Does that make sense?
In previous posts, people mostly just said you should exfoliate and moisturize more. But I tried that, and it didn't work. I have been using the brands I have been using for years with no issue, and this has been happening only recently.
My skin tends to be pretty normal. I rarely break out, and the skin between my eyebrows is completely smooth and hairless. My skin can be slightly on the oily side, but only because I use a heavier moisturizer. I have tried changing up my moisturizing routine, tried a different moisturizing application technique, tried not moisturizing at all (bad, I know), tried blotting my skin thoroughly before makeup application, tried using the red Stridex pads at night, tried applying my makeup differently, and any combination of those. But nothing helps and it's getting really annoying. And it's really hard to even attempt to minimize the issue once it happens . . . and it happens Every. Single. Day.
- Moisturizer: Ponds Dry Skin Cream Facial Moisturizer (Don't judge me - impossibly tight budget!)
- Skin Treatment: Stridex Extra-Strength pads
- Foundation: L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup
- Concealer: Physician's Formula Conceal Rx Physician's Strength Concealer
- Powder: Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder (the problem occurs before power application, however).
Also, in the other post regarding this issue, the Redditor used vastly different products, and it was still an issue.
Thanks for the help!
