I've been trying for the past year to find myself a decent foundation.
So, I started off by going to Sephora. They used that little color IQ dodad on me and the "match" it came out with was no where close. Super super dark. The lady even tried it 3 times, but it still gave me all these dark (compared to me) colors. She eventually gave up on the IQ match thing and tried to eyeball me, but we never found anything I liked. The closest she got was a sephora brand powder, but I'm not convinced that it wasn't just because it was so light coverage.
Next, I tried going to Mac and was matched as a NW18, which was too dark for me and left a stark line around my face unless I went all the way down my chest.
Went back and was match again as a NW13. This was closer, but still not quite right. It left me looking a bit... grey?
Went back again and was matched as a NC15. This one made me look kind orangeish. So I did some looking around here and thought, maybe I'm neutral.
I went and bought both N2 and N3 of the L'oreal True Match line. Didn't look right, but I couldn't put my finger on what was off, so I went and bought C2, C3, W2, and W3. None of these are right!!!
I seriously don't even know where to go form here.
I took some pictures of my face just after cleansing, and I'm hoping maybe someone here can give me a new starting point or help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Front facing As you can see, I have rosacea, which I think may be why they had so much trouble at Sephora.
Both of these pictures were taken in indirect natural light, so I think it's about as true to color as can get. Any and all advice is welcome. I'm about at my wit's end with this.
