hi!! i know that people say that tinted moisturizers are typically forgiving enough when it comes to shade matching. but when stuck between two shades, is it generally better to go lighter or darker? (specifically in relation to tinted moisturizers, not foundations or other thicker/less sheer finishes!)

thank you in advance !!
