Hello MUA! As a genderqueer person trying to increase my incredibly lacking feminine makeup skills, I have a general question to ask y'all: what brushes should I start out with? I've been making do with a crappy five-brush set from a grocery store combined with reusable sponges to put on liquid foundation and reusable eyeshadow applicators to put on eyeshadow. I feel like there should be a better way, but I don't really know if/when you should clean all the different types of brushes out there, so reusable stuff always seems so much better! I mean, is there a timeframe that you need to throw out brushes during anyways?
Also, what's up with the love for kabuki brushes? They look really fun to apply things with, like those giant powder poofs, but what are they for?
