Are there any primers that actually get sticky?? Feeling frustrated with this whole primers thing.
Post Body

So as one YouTube guru says, "Not to prime is a crime!" For a long time, I didn't listen. It was an extra step that costs extra money, and honestly, when I did use a primer, it didn't seem to actually help my makeup stay on longer or blur or smooth anything. If anything, it made the makeup more slippery. The primer I tried was Bare Minerals Prime Time if I'm not mistaken.

Then I learned that primer is still ideal, but you have to use the right type of primer. You need a primer that gets tacky so that it can grab onto your makeup. Apparently, most primers do not do that.

In another YouTube video, I saw that e.l.f. Power Grip primer gets tacky. So I used a Target gift card I had gotten for Christmas and was so excited that I grabbed two bottles.

Well I had a date not long after that, so I thought it would the perfect chance to try out my new amazing primer. I started out applying applying one pump of the primer, let it sink in/waited for it to get tacky, then continued with a full glam look. It never got tacky, but I brushed it off. I got to my date's house maybe 30 minutes later and gave him a hug. As I stepped back, I was horrified to find a giant makeup print on his BLACK t-shirt!! I apologized profusely, but thankfully he was understanding and just shrugged it off. And thankfully that wasn't what he was wearing out, anyway!

The thing is, nothing about my makeup routine or skincare routine had changed. I used the same powder as usual, the same setting spray as usual, I wasn't PMSing, I'm not pregnant, and literally nothing had changed except I used the primer. I wasn't sweaty or oily, and I had only had my makeup on for about 30 minutes. It's the primer.

So I hate the primer, and now I'm stuck with both bottles of it, and I still don't know of any primers that get tacky, and I can't afford to keep trying a bunch of primers. Nikkie Tutorials Nimya primer apparently gets tacky, but I don't know who to trust anymore!

Does anyone know of any makeup primers that get tacky? Or should I just do what I've been doing all along and skip the primer? Also, what is Target's return policy, lol.
