After finally figuring out how to create Dai, I thought I'll share my progress while the team prepares a proper tutorial.

There is an old instructional video explaining how to create "Sai" which is a discontinued, experimental version of Dai. It basically works the same except for some different terminology which I will explain.

1. Firstly, install Brave browser with the metamask extension. Chrome wasn't working for me for this purpose.

2. Open a tab with the "Dai Explorer" over here https://dai.makerdao.com/

3. Watch the old instructional video here https://sai.makerdao.com/

4. Basically, in the new interface "PETH" is equivalent to "SKR" of the old interface, and instead of clicking "Open" on the right list of "actions", in the new interface you need to click "Open your CDP" at the bottom of the page.

You will now have created Dai! If Dai becomes big in the future you can proudly say you were one of the first people in the world to have minted this stablecoin.
