Hey there!

I’ve posted on here a few times in the past, and figured I’d give this a try again as I’m looking to meet some new people! Whilst I have a number of friends IRL, we're all part of different friendship circles, and many have either moved away, or we don't have a whole lot of common interests. Most of my social life revolves around work nowadays, so it's tricky meeting new people. I figured I'd post here as I've had a lot of success in the past and met some great people, both online and IRL.

A bit about me!

I'm 27 from the UK and have been working as a software developer for the last 8 1/2 years. As you would expect, my primary interest is around computers / tech! Over the last few years, I've tried to branch out and find new interests, as I don't want that one passion to consume my entire identity.

Currently, my biggest interest is houseplants. Having gone from complete novice in 2020, to now caring for over 50 (it's turned into quite the addiction!). I'm also really into interior design (particularly mid-century) and love learning about all of the iconic pieces and the designers who created them.

Some of my other interests include photography, collecting vinyl, building computer keyboards, and many other niche nerdy interests!

I’m currently in the process of seeking an Autism / ADHD diagnosis, partly stemming from the fact I have lots of other interests, but tend to go through phases of intense hyper focus, only to drop a lot of them.😅 One thing I've noticed, is that most of my friends are neurodivergent, and I've always had a much easier time bonding with others who are.

I'd prefer a long-term thing, but I'm not going to try and force anything; lets just see what happens! At the moment I’m just looking for something platonic, with someone who can hold a good conversation. Happy to chat on either here or Discord. All I ask is that you’re around the same age and from the UK! I’ve had a lot of people just message with “Hey” and giving me nothing to go off. I can carry a conversation if you can too, but I’d also like to know a bit about you so I know we’re compatible!

I love talking to passionate people, whether it be their work, a special interest, or a curiosity for learning. I love hearing about people’s goals in life and what you’re doing to pursue it!
