Hi! I'm looking for new friends to chat with. I've drifted apart from some of my older friends over time, and other friends live far away from me/are busy with lives of their own, so I'm looking to try and expand my social circle some.

A little bit about me:

I work in digital marketing, a remote job that gives me a decent amount of flexibility to talk at different times of the day, but work has been picking up lately so I may not be super responsive during work hours. I'm based in NJ, so EST.

I'm an introvert by nature, but if we can find common ground on a subject that I'm interested in, I have a lot to talk about. Some of my favorite hobbies include:

• Reading (non-fiction stuff is my favorite)
• Watching documentaries on just about any subject you can think of
• Video games (though I haven't been playing a ton lately due to focusing on other stuff)

If you look through my post history, you're going to see a lot of talk about MCU/comics, football, and Animal Crossing, so those make for some good icebreakers. If you have any writing stuff you want to talk about or share with me, I'd love to see it as well. Writing was my #1 hobby for years, but my personal writing has been put on the backburner since my career involves a lot of writing and editing now.

I'm open to talking about other subjects as well, but I may not know that much about them. Happy to learn though.

Stuff I'm currently trying to do more:

• Working to get fit. I had a 70-pound weight loss journey a few years ago, now I'm looking to try and turn that into some muscle-building and toning up.
• Cooking. I love to eat, I love watching Food Network shows, I love talking about food, but I need to get into the kitchen more.
• Traveling/exploring. I'm a bit of a homebody by nature, but looking to mix it up.

Full disclosure: I have a GF that I'm very happy with. I'm happy to talk to men and women alike, but am not looking for anything beyond new friends right now.

I also have Discord if people are interested in taking conversation there, but would prefer to talk through text for a little bit before moving to voice chat.
