Left an abusive relationship where I could barely relate to the guy, so I just want to talk to down to Earth people where we can talk about similar experiences. Hopefully you are looking for the same. I just want to talk to and meet people where we can relate to each other so that I don't have to worry about stepping on eggshells and feeling uncomfortable because the person can't relate to me.
What I'm looking for (does not need to check every box):
-you identify as a person of color (I am Asian American and am a child of immigrants where my parents came from a war torn country) I've been really wanting more people to relate with this. Please don't be bigoted with that my ex is white and my kids are half white, so if you're that kind of person, don't message me.
-queer in some way, whether it is bi, gay, nonbinary, etc. (I'm bi and nonbinary. I know it says F in the title but I'm not really sure what subreddits allow for anything different really). I really enjoy making queer headcanons about media so I would be just overjoyed if we could discuss that!
-parent, whether it's stay at home parent or single parent. It's nice to meet people who just get it. I have two very young children and I'm cloth diapering one and needing to potty train the other. Children are so cute, so we could swap stories on whatever adorable thing they did today.
-going through divorce or custody case. I'm also willing to hear any and all of your relationship drama. I find true anecdotes to be interesting and if you want to rant I'm okay with that! It's been a learning process with leaving my abusive ex, learning how to live at the domestic violence shelter, how to talk to a lawyer and dealing with my ex once he got his court order. If you are going through the same thing, please reach out! I'd love to share what I've gone through to help anyone if I can.
-atheist or interested in discussing religion. This is just normal to me to talk about my Christian experiences when growing up and how terrible the Church of Christ is from when I was with my ex-husband. I also find all the different sects interesting as I find human behavior interesting.
-true crime/missing and unidentified person's case/mysteries addict. I am always thinking about these and always talking about these. Always down to chat about the newest case. I find them endlessly fascinating
-Children's picture books/tv shows/ other media. I've been really into watching Curious George and Doc Mcstuffins lately. I've been really getting into it. Hopefully one day I can contribute to these since I am passionate about children's education.
-Media analysis in general. I'm really into watching youtube videos on movie theories, especially Hereditary and Midsommar. I am always constantly thinking deeply about things, which is why I enjoy mysteries.
-I really enjoy singing so it would be enjoyable for me to make more friends who also love to sing. I would be just thrilled to meet people who randomly sing just like I do. I enjoy learning about new music.
-autism, adhd or bpd. Trying to seek a diagnosis for myself, thinking I might have autism. If anyone has gotten an autism or adhd diagnosis as an adult I'd be interested to know your experience and what led you to being interested in seeking it for yourself! Side note, I may be a little slow at understanding concepts and I might overexplain things since I like to try and help people to understand, so please be patient with me!
Hopefully this can be something long term, and I enjoy voice chat. Before we move to discord or snapchat it would be best to talk on here a bunch first so I can remember you. Hope to hear from you soon!
