As the title says, I'm looking for a writing partner or editor for an English story I'm working on.

The story is set in an alternate world where magic and myths exists. It is set in my country, Malaysia. The story focuses on two main characters, a young elf boy who has inherited a unique art of exorcism inherited from his non-blood related human grandmother and his caretaker who, well, took care of him after his grandmother died. Both of them run a shop called 梦想的花园/The Flower of Dreams that sells not only antiques, and not only magic items, but also exorcisms.

The story starts when a young woman was sent from the government to check up on the shop and uncover its mysteries. The plot mainly revolves around the magic items they may sell or acquire as well as the exorcisms they conduct, but it's not going to be the only way the story is told.

The tone of the story is going to be more lighthearted, taking inspirations from Chinese novels that I read (published in Malaysia) and mangas/anime (and maybe a little from video games). It will focus more on slice-of-life but there will still be combat scenes, though rarely. The plot will explore different themes, ideas, and myths that exist in the world and how the world differs from ours.

How I approach this story is also heavily influenced by lots of shounen/slice-of-life manga. It's probably gonna be like Flying Witch mixed with The Ancient Magus Bride and maybe a little The Bloody Witch's Paintings. The tone is somewhat close to a Miyazaki/Ghibli film, something like Kiki's Delivery Service.

The framework of the story would also most likely follow a manga's story beats - self-contained stories that introduce something new that may or may not have something building up in the background that leads to a larger arc. While it is something planned for the future, topics such as racism and LGBT will come into play one day.

Before you message me, a few things first:

1. This is not a professional thing. This is just a casual project that I'm working on as a hobby. However, that doesn't mean I'm not passionate about it or else I won't be making this post.

2. You are free to inquire more about the story itself before making a decision to join me. I can show you my incomplete first chapter to get a sense of how the story will go.

3. If you are only mildly interested or intrigued, then please reconsider your decision. This will sound harsh, but I don't want people who promise that they will join before completely ghosting me in less than 2 weeks.

4. I'm looking for someone who has one of these qualities: an LGBT person, or a Malaysian, or someone good with worldbuilding, or an editor, or someone who has worked on multiple stories before, or someone who is good at descriptive writing, or an artist.
