I had hoped to find some on here or get advise on how to meet people irl, yeah I know that sounds weird at 40....but all that seems to be here are creeps, a hand full of females, and guys trying to keep this place from falling into the pit of nasty that the internet can bring out.

I'm not good at irl, not at first at least. I'm a nerd and don't know what to say to people. Small talk, or basic conversation skills seem to be outside my perverbial wheelhouse, so even if I do encounter other humans I have the minimum reaction needed to get beyond the encounter. I was in a 9 year relationship that revolved around building her career and lost touch with the things I like. So I don't even know where to begin to meet other people with similar interests where I don't look or immediately get judged for being the creepy, crazy old guy. I have become the middle aged nerdy, geek weird guy that is lonely and it sucks.
