This is the first time I'm posting something like this, but definitely NOT my first rodeo. I have spent a lot of time helping people grow, learn, and overcome various things, and in certain circles I have become known for my unconventional methodology and personal approach to psychology, philosophy, therapy, and mental wellness and growth.
The basis for my approach is simply this: Purpose is in function, function is in truth, and truth is in knowing. I place no emphasis on religious belief, nor do I encourage people to dismiss their religion if they have one. I, instead, encourage people to explore their inner selves, connect with their emotions, observe the world around them, learn from experiences, and listen closely to themselves by way of points of reflection found around them and throughout their interactions. The way I go about this, however, is convoluted at best. My 'process' (though, I hesitate to call it that) is predicated only on opening, understanding, poking, and connecting.
Unlike your traditional therapist, I place great emphasis on establishing a deep and authentic connection - when we talk, you're not a client, you're a friend. I genuinely invest my time in building trust, empathy, and rapport, and creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your innermost thoughts and emotions. My 'sessions' (though, I hesitate to call them that) often involve thought-provoking discussions, explorations of identity, and exploration of passions. When you're with me, I try my best to always make sure that you feel heard, understood, and supported. And in moments when its appropriate, I offer a bit of a push and occasional challenges. I try to encourage creative expression and exploration as a means of unlocking deep-seated emotions and facilitating personal growth.
In an unconventional way, our connection could help to promote self-acceptance, authenticity, and personal growth and empowerment. I tend to challenge societal norms, and encourage you to question (and perhaps redefine) your own beliefs and values, while also working to get to the root of your motivations; together we can work to unpack what you know and what you think you know, and if you're paying attention you'll learn what that difference is.
If you are looking for someone to push the ideas of mindfulness, meditation, energy work, or somatic practices, turn around and back out of this post - I am not that kind of girl! While I do believe in a holistic approach, I execute it in very different way. Dialogue is BI-DIRECTIONAL, so we will both open up and chat about our lives, passions, anxieties, etc. It's not a quick feel-good jaunt; it's a long and winding journey.
So, how does this work? Simply put: talk to me, and we'll see what we can do. 99% of this will take place entirely through text-based chat. If you're interested in exploring where we can go together, drop me a message (DM or Chat) and let me know (a) the name you would like to be called, (b) your approximate age, (c) if there's something in particular you'd like to talk about, and (d) a brief infodump about yourself (ONLY if you feel so inclined). I will do my absolute best to at least get back to EVERYONE that messages, though it may take me some time.
THERE ARE TWO IMPORTANT CAVEATS:
- I can NOT take on everyone! I will work to make sure that we are BOTH a good fit for each other. I may only have time/space to connect with a few of you - so jump in soon if you think this might be for you!
- My "office hours" are generally limited to the following (all times in Central)
- M-F, 9am-4:30pm (occasionally abbreviated), 8pm-11pm
- S&S, 12:30pm-3pm (occasionally abbreviated), 8pm-11pm
Looking forward to hearing from you!
