I realized and seen most people have no friends, sure some are online but most haven't met. People I met from reddit who moved to voice chatting (still haven't met irl), say "well I like being alone and I don't need or want friends". I'm sorry I might get hate for this but I'm just gonna say it if you're here on this sub, No you are not a lone wolf, you do need and want friends. Why is that so bad to admit? WE'RE ALL LONELY HERE. WE NEED HUMAN INTERACTION, WE CRAVE IT. Even if you have no social skills that's sad but the fact you're trying to reach out isn't. This is step one in making new friends because for most people if you stay alone and never make the opportunity for yourself you might not be here on this earth very long because the sadness can take you out of it.
Don't neglect your family on thanksgiving or Christmas, for games or anything else online.
Don't say well I can't make friends if you haven't even tried. Go to Game store, take up a new hobby. GIVE back to your community by volunteering, socialize with your grocery store cashier, stop ordering in and actually go to the grocery store. Go to library, Find your local community center and do things, don't make excuses. MAKE THOSE IN REAL LIFE FRIENDS, then you could even probably play video games with people you met in person and be like a kid again by going over to their place or them yours and gaming.
I know it's not easy but if you start small it will start getting easy, so don't say "I'm so lonely, why don't I have any friends" when you don't even put in the effort. Even Online most people don't stay in contact they just "hi" and move on or ignore, NO more excuses, try harder make it your New Years resolution to be happy, Because YES WE DO NEED OTHERS TO MAKE US HAPPY. Friends, family and community that should never be a shameful statement.
Sorry for my rant but I had to say something. If you need a friend message me but be prepared for me to say I want to eventually meet you irl.
