Hello allllllll people, lords, ladies, lads, lasses (I think that takes in most of you?). On the far side of losing my best friend and little sister both within the same week, I’ve learned that I’m neither very good at making friends nor have very many friends anyway. Hence why I’m here. Uncomfortably feeling like I’m on a dating app.

A bit about me: male, Caucasian, independent with a conservative background, heterosexual, Christian. ((I think that gets all the red flags out for everyone to see, and is the reason for the nsfw tag: you were warned before you opened this post)). A bit more about me: I’m an amateur writer, photographer, musician, singer-songwriter, hopeful one day filmmaker, who enjoys gaming, sci-fi shows, fantasy novels, and tea (in great abundance). I’m currently teaching myself blender to be able to make a short(ish?) film, but that’s not really anything worth talking about because I JUST started and can barely spawn in a cube in blender, so…

I also really like language. I’m about to hit my 1 year streak on Duolingo, and am always up for learning/study buddies. I play bass and guitar, and dabble in piano and percussion, and am slowly relearning how to read sheet music (it’s been a few years, I’m wicked rusty). I’m told I’m a dom, tend to be wicked parental and nurturing, and get too attached and get run into the ground by trying to older-brother everyone (on good hospital authority, i throw a nasty jab-cross, so consider very carefully before attempting exploitation. First and last warning)

What I’m looking for is I don’t really know? (yes the tag says relationship, hold your horses). Honestly couldn’t tell you what the point of a “quick chat” is (because people take way too much effort to just “chat with someone for 20 minutes and never again”, friend, I don’t have TIME for that). And friendship is close, but like…. I want real friends. Like, deep, thick friendships, more along the relationship line (y’know. Friendships with substance, that can snap from nonsense to existential to philosophical to memes without a huge effort). Maybe it’s wicked niche, idk. I wouldn’t mind (ladies?) a semi-flirty repartee; it’s nice to feel desired lol I’m not massively into gay men (no offense; it’s just, when someone assumes and forcefully tries to grind on you in the bathroom, it kind of spawns trust issues of a group). I’m cool with an arms-length kind of relationship though, warmth pending interactions

Guys are cool, guys are welcome. I’m always game for a fellow philosopher, drinker, and person to hold me accountable for my gym and exercise. Girls are cool, girls are welcome. I find most of my friends group in high school consisted of girls; idk why, I tend to do better in friendships with girls, I promise I’m not a creep, I promise! Older, younger, either works. Obviously, the minor line is kind’ve a no-no (even though I most of the time forget I’m as old as I am). I’d prefer people within the 10-year range, but who knows. Talk to me, we might click.
