Hey there!

I'm trying this again in an attempt to meet someone new! This past year has been a bit of a whirlwind, and I’ve been left feeling quite solitary at times, mainly due to living by myself, work related burnout, and my friends moving / having different priorities.

I’m looking to change that though, which is hopefully where you come in!

What am I looking for? Someone to share new things with; inspire and be inspired by. Maybe even a voice chat from time-to-time when we’re available, but also accepting that we both live busy lives, and won’t be available all the time!

A bit about me!

I'm 28 from the UK and have been working as a software developer for the last 9 years. Historically, my career has been the most important thing to me, but I think it’s important to find other thingsgs in life that give you joy and self worth!

My main focus recently has been on web accessibility, trying to make the internet more usable for people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers!

As much as I love my job, this year has very much been focused on my other passions, as I had an unhealthy relationship with achieving career goals that ultimately, led to burnout and having to take time out.

📚 I’m a super passionate person, and get a lot of my fulfilment through learning new things and teaching others. Due to ADHD, interests fluctuate in intensity, but photography, houseplants, and interior design are the ones that’ve stuck!

🖌️ In an attempt to find more creative outlets, I’m also learning about 3D modelling / printing / Architecture in my spare time!

I’m also really like to take up pottery sometime so I can make my own ceramics! Until then though, I’m currently working on designing my own home wares, which I can then cast from concrete and other materials!

☀️ My happy place is when I’m surrounded by plants with a cat on my lap, reading a good book!

Films & Games I don’t play games nearly enough, or watch films too often, but perhaps it’s something we could do eventually? I usually play PC/PS5, but I do have a Switch that’s collecting dust.

Most of my gaming time is spent on Diablo 4 at the moment.
