Post Body

There doesn't seem to be a word for the kind of people I'm looking for, but, the more of these traits the better:

-Learns and studies all the time -Imagines a lot / hyperphantasia -Synesthete -Deep appreciation and awareness or world history, linguistics, anthropology, and cultural contact, especially as tools and topics that are living things and help with understanding how to navigate the real world -Views the distant past not as something far removed, irrelevant, and romanticized (as if it's just a movie to be consumed for entertainment), but as something that was real and has real implications and continuity with the world we currently live in, especially concerning marginalized people -Anywhere on the queer spectrum -Neurodivergent -Down to earth and cares deeply for other people's emotional pain and living circumstances, even if we can't feel it or understand it -Active listening, undivided attention -Been in therapy and is familiar with mindfulness and DBT -Not into toxic positivity / "good vibes only" / "everything happens for a reason" / emotional invalidation -Wants to make a good-faith effort to talk regularly and actually form a friendship, even it's just to encourage one other in daily life, send reacts to one another's messages, etc. Not looking for people who just want to "collect" friends and read Instagram stories and have no actual conversations.

I want people to bond with over subjects that tend not to be appreciated, who want to give and not just take, who will ask me questions and not make me carry the conversation, but also who's not too serious or way too sarcastic or makes their personality through machismo or superiority over others (no "fluent in sarcasm" / "allergic to bullshit" / "I'm just saying it like it is" / "school of hard knocks" / "no one said life would be fair" types).

I'm aware I'm not for everybody, but if you have even some feeling like any of this resonates with you, don't hesitate to reach out! ๐Ÿ’œ You don't need a perfect intro for your first contact with me, just be you!
