Hey all, sad as it sounds I’m realising that I’ve become somewhat socially isolated for many reasons. In part I feel that this is because I have autistic traits and frankly struggle with social interactions and find it incredibly draining at times due to the fact that I tend to have to mask quite heavily as a result.
I’m married with 3 kids, I work in IT (for my sins) and am a bit of a geek loving some sci-fi, video games, and riffing through bad movies (thanks to MST3K and rifftrax). I love to swim and be outdoors however i developed chronic fatigue after a rather nasty run in with Covid so I’m not doing as much of that as I’d like to be.
I’m open to friendship with anyone but even as a kid I always got on better with women than guys, never really been a laddie lad, always struggled with small talk and would rather have a deep and meaningful conversation than something superficial. Most of my friendships died out when my friends got married, others just drifted apart.
I’m in a polyamorous relationship and home educate our kids, so I guess you could call me a little alternative but I don’t fit neatly into that box either!
What I’m looking for is some new friends that can accept me for me, flaws and all that I don’t have to mask with!
