I just spent the last 45 minutes listening to my partner of 9 years make me out to be a horrible person to a mutual friend. I’m not sure if they thought I couldn’t hear them, or if they didn’t care. Either way it’s the final nail in the coffin.
I’m sad, obviously. But also kind of excited. If you couldn’t tell, it’s been a bit toxic over my way as of late. I’m looking forward to prioritizing kindness over the dumb things I thought I needed at 26. I’m hoping to become a brighter, louder, more authentic version of myself.
Anyone a little further ahead in their breakup want to walk me through being single in 2024? Or even just someone want to distract me with memes? I’m in EST but a night owl. Happy to exchange pics/otherwise verify that I’m not a middle aged man or whatever.
