I've been volunteering my time and my astronomy club's telescope at this star party for the past 6 years I think. Each year we get more and more public coming out to see the night sky, which is awesome. But I understand parking is a big issue given the large turnout each year, with many people turned away last year when the parking lot at MDI high school overfilled. They've changed the policy this year that you need to make a $5.00 reservation to get a parking spot at MDI high school and then you get a shuttle bus ride to the top of Cadillac Mtn for the event. Just thought I would pass this on to everyone looking to come to the event.

Get signed up now as it will probably sell out quick. And get to the parking lot early, like 3pm before it fills up. You can stay as long as you like at the top of the mountain until last shuttle bus leaves. Then you are on your own to get down.
