Has anyone else had the pure joy of dealing with the Pain Management clinic in Bangor?
I got referred to them by their own Orthopedic group in Ellworth at the end of February.
They have now cancelled and rescheduled 3 times, and my appointment is now in Nov. Yes, NOVEMBER.
Anyone think they'll move it into 2025?...maybe even go a full year from referral?
None of them are trying to pass themselves off as MDs, as far as I’ve seen. And APs have their own review and licensure boards.
And while costs for healthcare facilities continue to go up with inflation like everything else, Medicare (and all the other payer) reimbursement rates are not going up.

To be fair, advanced practitioners like Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practioners are not exactly the same as “nurses” at the RN level. Those positions require advanced degrees and training above and beyond a bachelor’s level nurse.
