SOLVED: Using MailbirdBackupTool to download all the .EML files. Surprisingly I got the answers from support.
I acquired a Google account/Gmail through a purchase of a business 3 years ago. I stopped paying the subscription fee for the last 2.5 years, and not long after, the account stopped receiving emails. I'm not sure the reason as I am not familiar with how Google accounts work, I'm not sure if this is just down to the subscription because I was still receiving emails for a few months after.
I've logged in to the Google account recently and found the plan had been discontinued so I subscribed to a new Google Workspace plan. I found the Gmail app was turned off, this could be the reason why the emails stopped, this could have been done by the previous owner without me knowing since he still had access to his own linked user.
I've turned Gmail back on and logged in to find there are no emails at all. The only place I have these emails is on my Mailbird app. My worry is if Mailbird syncs and wipes everything so I've disabled Gmail for now to prevent this.
Is there a way to download the emails from Mailbird?
I checked out https://support.getmailbird.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003544187-How-to-backup-your-email-data?input_string=backup emails from mailbird but it's not clear if the emails are actually backed up and if I can access these emails later?
