1. Takeover of any and all sugar mills in the state. A massive problem in Nagpur, Amravati regions is the cultivation of sugarcane. Shutdown mills in drier areas, which were only made because of the cancersurvivor asshole.

2. No support for sugarcane crop. Not even crop insurance.

3. Support only those crops which can grow in low precipitation conditions.

4. Interconnect rivers from the ghat regions to the Eastern parts of MH. Plenty of times we've been seeing simultaneous news of flooding and drought in these regions.

5. Plantation of trees in massive tracts, which can survive higher temperatures. Reason for frequent drought in Vidarbh, and Marathwada is over exploitation of ground water resources which caused massive loss of vegetation which caused increased temperatures which causes faster loss of water.

6. Dig more fucking lakes. MH has somewhere between 650 - 800 lakes, depending on how you want to count lakes. We need much more than that. At least 2000 large lakes.

Khedut garib aahot, and doing this coddling, we're overlooking the fault of farmers in this crisis. Successive state and central government policies have induced demand for crops which need massive amounts of water and the farmers in their merry way have pillaged groundwater resources.

This will not be popular, because people feel this villianizes "garib" farmers, but because of their stupidity everyone is facing the droughts.
