Opponent conceded but game showed as loss on client?

I just had a really weird experience - I was at 20-something life, and my opponent attacked for more than my life total, so I chumped his large, non-trample 9/9 guy. This should have been enough to prevent lethal and allow me to crack back for the win - except inexplicably, my life total went to -3 as if I had not blocked at all.

Looking through the log, it looks like my opponent conceded? After the game I was awarded 275 mastery XP as if I had won, and looking at my profile it looks like my rank ticked up as well.

Has anyone else ever seen this? I believe I've seen the flipside of this, where I conceded while attacking and the client showed my creatures attacking for lethal after I conceded.
