I was just playing my 4 color omnath adventures deck, ran into this janky simic control deck and almost lost only won because I top decked a faes During mid game, I don’t know how good this deck actually is or if it was me misplaying it to be 4 color omnath Early on following a double lotus cobra into confounding conodrum on turn 3. The conundrum made it impossible for me to ramp, mean while he was: around mid game I had him down to 9 life I had 24, he was leading 12 to 7 in lands, I had a bonecrusher, Omanth, fae and edgewell inkeeper and a single clover on board, with a bone crusher & beanstalk Giant As well as a land in hand on board when suddenly he drops a thorn mammoth he fights my omnath, I try to stomp his mammoth so it would die when he played his first Sublime epiphany in response I discarded hand to return my fae to hand , he copied mammoth, returned my clover, clearing my board. I got ugin and negate from side board while top decking land on my next turn he was out of cards as well but had a castle vantress. He top decked ugin sending me down to 11 life, while I top decked fae, ugin Ed to get rid of his mammoths. He top decked conundrum into land, top decked another land so I grabbed Elspeth conquers death and escape to the wild, got rid of his ugin un fortunately he top decked a scavenging ooze so I didn’t get anything with Elspeth but with the escape to the wilds I was luckily able to turn game around. When game ended we both had ten cards left in deck he had 5 cards in hand was fully tapped out, I had 2. The deck seems cool unsure if it was just situationally good against omnath adventures or wether it has actual potential.
Being as I only saw 46/61 cards (yes 61) cards in my opponents deck I tried to extrapolate best I could the rest of the deck, based on what would make sense. In description are 46 cards I saw. It seemed like a really cold deck. I I don’t know how consistent it would actually be looked like it ran to many 2 of and 3 of but seems to have potential any ideas, how to improve it?
