Black Screen on First Launch

So I just got a Motile m142 laptop. And after installing Arena everytime I go to launch all I get is the full screen black window with the modified cursor. I've reinstalled, cleared app data, tested various compatibility settings and updated display drivers. I also installed the V C that Arena posted on twitter. No change- any ideas on what's going on? I don't see any bottlenecks or hogged resources.
