Every time I see someone play their first [[Persistent Petitioners]] I just automatically concede.

I've never seen such a 0 IQ, "I'm just here to get some wins in" deck with absolutely no interaction.

I'm not here to watch you do literally the exact same thing every turn till one of us loses. I'm here to play magic, you know, that card game that's notorious for it's complexity and that it's actually more intricate and complex than chess and go, and is turing complete to the degree that you can build a computer out of cardboard rectangles.

I'd rather deal with a mono red cavalcade aggro deck who's also just trying to get fast wins in the play queue because at least then the game might have the potential to be interesting.

There's zero fun to be had with a deck that's 100% made up of one basic land and one other card. Whoever thought making a card that says you can run as many of them as you want and also gave it a ridiculous effect like "tap four of these to mill anyone for 12" is an absolute bastard.

This card doesn't belong in the game, and it definitely doesn't belong on Arena.

Edit: Came back to see almost every comment saying some flavor of "you lost to this deck? lol scrub git gud that deck sux tho."

Apparently no one actually read what I wrote then. I'm not playing the game for zero interaction, and I don't care for empty wins. I'm playing magic to play a game between two players. Petitioners is a garbage no fun no interaction deck that I don't win or lose against because I refuse to actually play against it. I auto concede and move along to the next player who actually wants to play some cards with me.

Nothing more fun than making a new deck and going up against a deck that does nothing where I can't try anything meaningful from my deck out, right? Oh no, people here only care about winning though so since it's easy to win against then there must be no problem with it being around. Lol okay, to each their own.

Petitioners is a garbage card that should never have been printed, and should never even be allowed to be played. Sorry, not sorry.
