The fire cat keeps reappearing after I turn it off.

I bought the master pass, mostly for the card styles, and i find the cat a little annoying so i turned it off in the profile settings. However it keeps turning itself back on. It feels like every 2-3 games it comes back uninvited.
Its hard to test, but I feel it might be every time the pass levels up.
