Are you actually being serious? Throwing punches is one thing but belittling your women nurses and being respectful with the male ones doesn’t take a degree and 10 years of specializing in anesthesia to know you’re probably a dirt bag. The other man who was highly inappropriate that I had being sexually aggressive even has his wife tell us he was a dirt bag. Aggression coming out of anesthesia is usually linked to a hx of a head injury or drug abuse in most cases. Not always but a lot. Men who are jerks after anesthesia were jerks and creeps in preop. But just my ten years of experience. I’m no pro.
Well definitely tell that to your preop nurse and anesthesiologist next time. They’ll give you versed ahead of time to help and then order iv Ativan or similar for recovery and it helps so much for anxiety when waking up. If I ever have a patient with history of anxiety I’m almost always ready to give Ativan or versed in Pacu to help. It can be so horrible to wake up with anxiety.
Ha no worries I was just wondering if there was something different being used.
Tramadol? I think you mean Demerol? Demerol is a pain Med given iv for shaking. It works immediately and is awesome.
You have much deeper issues at hand. Best of luck to your wife.

Pacu nurse here. I have never had someone wake up to propofol or conscious sedation like this. Just one guy woke up throwing punches and calling us all bitches and told us to make him a sandwich. I can’t imagine how he treated his wife...
