Double Chemistries

What makes certain players be able to have two chemistries? For example, my 91 PU Damon Harrison can only get x2 PR but my 91 PU Brandon Graham has x4 PR (x2 in scheme and x2 in physical) and shazier's 95 can have x3 LD but not a physical chem except the sprinter, leaper, etc.
