To the madden gods: How do you effectively stop the passes?

I'm playing a season with the patriots and I just cannot stop the passes. I am playing on pro(new to the game) and the QBs will miss only like twice or thrice the entire game. They get like 23/26 250 yards passing. I am dead serious. Revis can't seem to cover well too since the qb was getting completions to Watkins and Amaro, both of which were covered by Revis. I can't get enough time to create pressure as a d line man too.

IF I need to adjust the sliders, is there any reference I can look at? The only full Madden game I had before was 08(pc) and had the 25 demo. The concepts look completely new to me.
