Does anyone else feel as if the settings are reversed?

So I play on all madden with the defensive sliders all the way up for both myself and computer in hopes of having tougher games without constant scoring with high score games... now mind you I do pay 15 minutes quarters in my franchise but regardless seems every reciecer is always wide open never covered and the tackling is so bad guys just basically walk through multiple tacklers like it's on rookie. Anyone else seem to have this issue or anything similar?
