It's a very unnecessary movie. A step backwards in every way from Fury Road. Not really sure why George Miller even wanted to make it. My favorite scene was the 10 second view of a very familiar man and car. The action was a downgrade and felt very lackluster. It's anticlimactic in every sense. Worse action, forgettable soundtrack and Anya was not a good fit for the role. I know a lot of people will like but I certainly don't. Have been a Mad Max fan all my life and am surprised that Beyond The Thunderdome is no longer my least favorite in the franchise. I'm also predicting that this movie will be a financial misfire. Hopefully not as I'd like Miller to end things with Max himself.
