I am currently an operator, load, unload, change tools and do quality checks. For what I do, I am paid better than most people that have been in this industry for a long time. I cant set up or program and I'm currently at 27.35 an hour. BUT my issue is, I want to learn how to program and set up, where i am at wont really teach me until I have been there for YEARS, like 7 plus years. Do i stick it out as being a high paid button pusher? or do i find a place with less pay but will teach me the real skills of the job? fuckin conundrum I'm in, I love this trade, wish i would have found it when i graduated in 2011
