I have seen on the Internet people using satin columns/stitches and other saying it can cause the faux leather to break away from itself because the stitches are too close to each other.
Also, which stabilizer do you use?
Thanks in advance!
Cheap quality faux leather may embroider poorly. Good quality faux leather will embroider beautifully. I do suggest sticking to lighter designs though.
Do NOT use a leather needle on faux leather! It can damage the material. Real leather behaves very very differently and sort of “heals” when needles are poked through it. Faux leather does not do this. You want to use as fine of a needle as possible. Microtex needles work best on it for normal sewing, a smaller size embroidery needle will be fine too.

Since you’re Canadian I recommend Emmaline Bag’s faux leathers for the future! It’s excellent quality.
