Hi everyone! I appreciate any advice from anyone who has knowledge or experience regarding studying externally at MQ.
Semester 1 last year was my first semester at uni. I initially enrolled in 4 units, but I ended up dropping down to 2 units as I didn't have the time for a full course load. I only did 2 units in semester 2 and everything went really well. But I'm looking at a REALLY long time at uni if I continue as a part time student.
I'm thinking about dropping some hours at work to try a 4 unit semester again. The thing is though, I'm a 2 hour commute away from campus each way. I was wondering if I might be better suited to external study because of this..?
Though, I like the way courses are delivered internally. Is external study significantly different? Is more engagement required to make up for the lack of in-person attendance? Are the assessments the same as the internal assessments? Will I still have to take exams on campus? What about group work?
Seriously, any information you guys have helps. Macquarie's student information systems are ... Unenlightening. I'm studying psychology, if that makes a difference.

Some tutors in Anatomy were telling me how a student in the same year who traveled from the mountains to campus got a mark of 100 in ANAT Limbs and Back and all she did was study while getting to campus.
That's crazy.
