Hey everyone! I am upgrading from my MBP 2018 (I7 Intel Processor) to a MAC STUDIO M2 Max with 64 gb RAM. Do you think this is going to be enough for music production? Electronic music production and movie scoring. Should i have bought the one with the ULTRA processor?

Yes! My 64 GB M2 Max has never choked, even with over 100 instances of different spitfire audio tracks.

Just be aware, if you primarily use Kontakt, they still aren’t fully compatible with the latest Mac OS software - which is ridiculous on NI’s part

If you’re using orchestral midi samples, music production uses A LOT more CPU and RAM than any 4K video editing project
